Inclusion Housing delivers much needed step-down accommodation in Leeds in partnership with Storm Property

Park Place was developed as a purpose-built step-down service, enabling 12 in-patients with physical or emotional conditions to adjust to living independently again – with the level of care and support that they individually require.

The apartments have been fitted with assistive technology specific to each user’s needs, with a modern feel, quality finish and a communal courtyard. The ideal solution to the needs of the residents given the scheme is also close to local amenities with great transport links.

Sam Roden, Managing Director – “I’m very proud of the team who ensured that the scheme was carried out efficiently, on time, and most importantly, to a high standard that will really change the lives of the tenants for the better.”

Quote from the Commissioner, NHS Clinical Commissioning Group – “Transforming Care Programme is high on all commissioners agenda’s and rightly so, we know that long stays in hospital have an impact on people’s ability to be independent. The mobilisation of the new service at Park Place Seacroft Leeds, which was purpose built by Storm Property to suit the users’ needs has helped to achieve safe discharges from hospital.

Storm Property are building services in the community for people to get the support they need in the city where they live and has provided a safe and positive environment for a number of individuals whom have had long stays in hospital settings. We want to enable people to grow and flourish and Storm Property’s development has enabled these individuals to have this opportunity of supported living.”

Storm Property’s apartments feature whole house technology systems based on individual residents’ needs. Working closely with the partners listed above, Storm ensured that the infrastructure of the scheme support those in need from the moment they move in and for years into the future.
